Face the music. Final Presentations.

Oh schnap! Are we approaching the end already? Conceptualize, design, and build an online museum/library that will be hosted at your school’s server space. The end product should be representative of your design and thought process but also reflective of your creativity and passion.

One (1) or two guest critics will be invited to our lab. They will be observing and providing critical feedback on both your product and presentation. You are to provide an overview of your museum/library. Sell it, kid. Walk through your site and explain the purpose of key features. Be prepared to defend your design choices and approach. This is where you can use your usability test as a reference or proof of concept.

Take this seriously. I have the habit of inviting outside guests who critically anazlyze non-academic projects on a weekly basis from both novice and expert designers. Confirmed critics are to be announced one week before class.

Usability Testing

Your website must be reviewed by an assigned classmate no later than Sunday, December 12th . This will give you three days prior to presentations to fix or refine based on their feedback. Because we have an odd number of students, I will be user-testing one student’s site as he/she is assigned to another peer. A new usability form will be made available in a couple of weeks.
